Kilims are major decorative and functional rugs that bring both beauty and warmth to a home or office.  Colourful and dramatic kilims were produced by villagers and tribal nomads in Persia and other middle and far eastern countries.  The craft continues to flourish today in Iran. Kuhestan Kilims is a family business which spans over three generations.  In Iran, members of our family source these beautiful traditional rugs and we import them directly from Iran to South Africa.  A wide variety of kilims, in design, colour and sizes, hand woven in many different parts of Iran, are on exhibition and for sale at Kuhestan Farm.
